It is common for cats to come to their owners’ bed for the following reasons:
- desire for warmth during the cold season;
- a cat regards people’s bed as a place of high status for her;
- she feels good next to her owner;
- this is how she expresses her love and devotion;
- the animal seeks to emphasize its dominant position in the home.
A cat is believed to lie down on a person’s body if they have any illnesses. There is ample evidence that after such treatment, the patient immediately felt better and recovered much faster. In case of fever or headache, cats often come to their owner’s bed and try to heal him in this way.
