Spike the dog would be the envy of any member of the canine tribe. 14 years ago he came into the home of kind people who loved him dearly. And when Spike grew old and his age-related diseases began to show, his owners surrounded him with their incredible care.
The thing is that after Spike had his second stroke his vets banned any physical activities, and the owners decided to give him the most comfortable conditions.
The Springer Spaniel was so well liked by his owners that they let him sleep with them. And since the owners’ bedroom is on the second floor, it became difficult for the old dog to climb the stairs. The owners decided to organize a sleeping place for their pet on the first floor, putting a couch there.
They closed off access to the second floor for the pet with a special fence. And so that Spike was not lonely, the owners decided to take turns sleeping with him. In addition, they feed the pet right in bed, so he is less stressed. That’s how these kind-hearted and caring people take care of their elderly family member.
Over 14 years ago the family took Spike from a shelter. The dog had a very hard life before that, that’s probably why his new owners care so much about him, creating maximum comfort.
